For months, the people of Orangeburg County have been left waiting—waiting for road repairs, for clear answers, and for action. I organized this town hall because we can’t afford to wait any longer. “We can’t afford to wait any longer for progress when people’s daily lives have been completely disrupted.”
This meeting was about cutting through the red tape and making sure residents heard directly from the officials responsible for getting things back on track. Thanks to this forum, we got a firm timeline—North Road and SC Highway 6 are expected to reopen in 90 days.
But this is just the beginning. My Building Strong Communities – Unlocking Resources Together town hall series will continue, ensuring accountability at every level. “People deserve answers, and if they aren’t getting them, it’s my job to go find them.” That’s exactly what I’ll keep doing.
